A leading business with headquarters in Cambridge and a history of significant growth are looking for a Senior Group Accountant to join their central finance team.

Job description and key responsibilities:

Working closely with the Group Financial Controller, this role will be hands-on assisting the Group Finance department in monthly reconciliation's including the preparation of monthly and daily consolidated management accounts, financial statements, VAT and forecasting functions including associated taxation.

- Assist with the production of the Group's published Annual Report and Accounts and Interim Report and Accounts in accordance with IFRS within the set timeline
- Preparation of statutory financial statements
- Review, investigate and resolve intercompany variances on a monthly basis
- Reconciliation of quarterly Group VAT returns and preparation and posting of all Group VAT payments and adjustments
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly Balance Sheet reconciliation's for all GL accounts to which ownership is assigned
- Production of the Group's published Annual Report and Accounts and accounts in accordance with IFRS
- Audit management- Responsible of day to day management of the delivering of the annual audit, liaising with external auditors and Drafts accounting papers for all judgemental areas of financial reporting
- General ledger Accounting- Monthly closing of group consolidation, including preparation and posting of all consolidation journals and FRS102 to IFRS conversion adjustments

Skills and knowledge:

- Qualified ACA
- Strong technical accounting knowledge- IFRS and UK GAAP
- Excellent Excel skills and knowledge of Cogos TM1
- Experience of preparing complex consolidations and reporting from large volumes of data
