Our client, a Blue Chip global services organisation has a requirement for a Divisional Financial Controller. The opportunity has arisen due to an internal move and continued growth. The main purpose of the role will be to support the FD in delivering the financial management and profitable growth of the UK&I division. Key accountabilities include:
*To manage and develop the control environment of the UK&I division
*To ensure adherence to all external, Regional and Group financial compliance processes
*To coordinate and challenge the Business Planning in the UK&I division
*To enhance internal and external financial reporting - ensuring the performance of the business is clearly and articulated
*To manage and develop the UK&I payroll team - ensuring a compliant and efficient function
*Owning the Business Plan, budget and forecast processes; supporting the MD and FD to set challenging but achievable financial targets
*Delivering smooth processes; setting realistic timetables to meet Regional reporting obligations
* Providing relevant and consistent financial information, arranging management reviews and ensuring approved plans
The successful applicant will be a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA) with several years' PQ, including extensive Financial Accounting / Reporting and Budgeting experience. A strong track record of delivering and improving month end close processes and the production of financial plans is essential. Advantageous would be proficiency with Financial Accounting and Reporting systems and or experience of using Oracle.
