Based: Preston

Salary: circa £45k dependent on experience, excellent benefits and opportunities to grow

Four Recruitment are currently working with a rapidly expanding business based in the heart of Preston. They are continuously acquiring new businesses within the UK, increasing business revenue/opportunities dramatically offering fantastic new positions at their state of the art head office in Preston. The Financial Accountant will be a ACA qualified, dynamic individual, keen to embark on their first industry role from finance, joining a business going through progressive change.

Role:

• Reporting into Financial Controller and part of a growing finance team
• Responsibility for internal and external reporting activity
• Responsibility for balance sheet control, ensuring accounts are fully reconciled monthly and all balances confirmed
• Preparation of UK statutory accounts, accurate reporting and accounting for monthly capital expenditure across multiple entities
• Producing detailed monthly analysis of balance sheet movements, reconciling against forecast, budget and prior year
• Assisting in the development of business financial processes, ensuring implemented and maintained
• Production of financial accounts and associated commentaries
• Group statutory reporting (under IFRS) and associated analysis and interpretation
• Production of VAT and corporate tax eturns
• Focus on systems, processes and controls to assist business growth
• Finance business partnering with other departments internally

Experience:

• ACA qualified Accountant (post-qual experience)
• Practice experience with at least 12 months in industry
• Experience in UK statutory accounts
• Group reporting (under IFRS) experience essential
• Strong analytical, communication and Excel
