Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be working with a leading manufacturing group based in Derbyshire as they look to recruit a Business Accounting Analyst in their corporate finance function. The strategy for the business is geared towards continued growth and review of processes in order to maximise efficiency in its operations.
The purpose of the role is to ensure all accounting activities are performed in an accurate and timely manner and that the correct financial results are reported on-time to the business and the Group HQ. You will be instrumental in process improvement reviews as well as maintaining integrity of treasury reporting.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
*CIMA, ACCA, ACA or other recognised accountancy qualification
*Accurate capture and reporting of financial and performance activities of the business
*General financial query management requiring cross-team collaboration to resolve issues in a timely manner
*Review and challenge of results ensuring there is a continual monitoring and improvement in the controls environment around all transactional processing
*Development of a quality review of processes & procedures, driving development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
*Ad hoc finance/business projects
*Maintain treasury controls environment, ensuring adherence to EMIR regulations, bank reconciliations review and the implementation/following of treasury policies
*Day to day management of foreign exchange deals and cash forecasting ensuring that bank account balances are kept to a minimum
*Responsible for ensuring that all BOC payments and collections, through whatever method, are made accurately, to the appropriate timescale and in the most cost-effective way
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
*Good technical accounting skills
*Good communication skills (oral, written and listening)
*Understanding how to implement business process improvement
*Modelling, analytical and numerical reasoning skills with an ability to interpret and summarise multiple information streams
*Proven ability to adhere to strict deadlines
*Understanding how to implement business process improvement
*Able to organise and manage work
*Knowledge of SAP preferred
