An established property business is South West London with a global reach is currently recruiting for an ambitious Credit Controller to join their friendly and hard-working team.
This close knit team of 4 are looking for a like-minded professional with experience working with aged debts to join them during a period of business growth.
The role:
- To adopt the organisation's credit control policy, which sets out the company's values and guidelines for chasing payment from its clients.
- To collect outstanding debt by use of email/telephone calls/letters/statement so that, as far as possible, there is no debt aged greater than 2 months.
- To deal with payment queries and client overpayments in an accurate and timely manner.
- To build strong working relationships with our clients, the company's fee earners and other members of the finance team to assist with collection of outstanding debts.
- To review, approve and send sales invoices for the UK office in an accurate and timely manner.
- To create and send sales invoices for overseas offices in an accurate and timely manner.
- To raise credit notes and replacement invoices, where necessary, in an accurate and timely manner.
- To attend regular debtor meetings with the Credit Control Manager and with fee-earning members of staff as appropriate.
Requirements:
- A dedicated, self-sufficient and motivated individual who is focused on ensuring that all invoices are sent correctly and promptly, all invoices are chased in a timely manner and that full recovery of debt is achieved.
- Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy in every aspect of work.
- Knowledge and experience in the use of accounting packages and Microsoft Office packages are essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
