Management Accountant

THE COMPANY:

I have partnered with a high growth SME in the York area to recruit a Management Accountant to work alongside the MD and Group Finance Director.

THE JOB:

Repoting into the Managing Director and Finance Director. This role will be a pivotal role for the business and your responsibilities will be varied and commercially focused. You will be involved in the following duties on a day to day basis:

• To produce timely and accurate financial and management information to enable the senior management team to make informed business decisions.
• Maintain the reliability and accuracy of the financial and management information that is reported to the business.
• Develop reporting systems
• Stock reporting and analysis
• VAT returns, tax returns, month end reports and year end reports
• Business partnering and analytical accounting support for relevant the budget holders of the business.
• Preparing monthly management accounts
• Consolidation of the monthly accounts.
• Cash flow forecasting.
• Posting monthly journals including accruals.
• Preparation of monthly P&L commentary including variance analysis for each department within the Business Unit.

THE PERSON:

• Fully Qualified, part qualified or finalist level ACCA, CIMA or ACA
• Solid experience in management accounts
• First class communication skills
• Knowledge of the manufacturing sector and stock accounting
• Analytical, confident in a fast-paced role
• A natural problem solver and logical thinker
• Able to work to deadlines and able to multi task
• Positive, passionate and driven
