Practice Accountant - Dorchester

Experience practice accountant / accounts senior sought by rural practice in Dorchester ACA ACCA

You will be working for an independent firm of Chartered Accountants providing a wide range of high quality services to a diverse portfolio of clients. The firm has been serving clients throughout Dorset for more than 100 years and with over 40 partners/staff, they aim to provide their clients with the best possible service. Their clients are mostly involved in rural enterprises, but they have the expertise to provide a comprehensive accounting service to all types of clients.

The firm is looking to strengthen its accounting team with the appointment of a Qualified-Level Senior Accountant, to work closely with one of the partners, assisting in the running of the partner's portfolio of clients. The role could also include a sizeable amount of tax work if this is something you might be interested in doing.

The ideal person will be ACA or ACCA qualified with strong academics who has extensive exposure to similar work in another accountancy practice, and be capable of working on their own initiative. The role will be very "hands on" and will not involve a great deal of staff management so you will need to be able to operate on your own initiative as much as possible and run a portfolio of clients.
