Our client has pioneered game changing AI driven technology, earning its place as a Sunday Times Tech Track 100, and offers market leading SaaS solutions.  It has partnered with a world leading organisation and has its HQ in London, with offices throughout Europe and North America.  Due to exceptional growth and scale up there is a newly created vacancy for a Director of FP&A, reporting to the COO, to support further growth and join a talented senior leadership team.  In this role you will be at the very core of business decision-making, driving the review cycle both in the UK and overseas.  We are looking for exceptional influencing, commercial and technical skills as well as experience of Cloud based SaaS in the tech sector.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing commercial and strategic decision support. This is across all business functions and focuses on protecting and seeking profit, maximising growth and supporting the decision-making process and achievement of group strategy.
  • Budgeting, forecasting and planning.  Develop and manage an integrated forecasting and business planning process comprising a reforecasting process and longer-term business plans.
  • Further design and develop Cash Flow forecasts, understanding the working cash management position.
  • Play an integral part in the formulation of the strategic plan and associated business plans and metrics.
  • Undertake benchmarking, competitor and trend analysis providing key insights with the aim of identifying initiatives to build future strategy and deliver growth.
  • Evaluate, review and challenge business proposals/activities, month-end results and budgets, ensuring KPI’s are being met, with the aim of identifying risks and opportunities, suggesting options for improvement, driving corrective action and a culture of continuous improvement in business performance.
  • Provide insights from qualitative and quantitative data analysis developing business models and cases to support strategic choices and optimal resource allocation.
  • Work collaboratively across the business applying rigor and challenge.
  • Take the lead in driving robust processes around cost control, cash flow projections, and broader balance sheet management to maximise profit and cash generation opportunities.
  • Work closely with the Group Controller to deliver timely, accurate, and incisive financial reports for internal and external distribution.   
  • Ad hoc projects as required, e.g. due diligence, post-acquisition integration, systems projects, geographic market development.

Key requirements for the role:

  • You will have a graduate level education and a professional accountancy qualification (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)
  • At least 7 years post qualification experience and preferably have exposure to /worked within a Cloud based SaaS company, where finance is key to decision making.
  • You will possess excellent influencing skills with the ability to build and maintain relations with Director level colleagues.
  • You will have strong strategic thinking capability and relish translating strategy into practical deliverables coupled with exception commercial skills and business acumen
  • You will be down to earth, career orientated, robust interpersonally and possess intellect coupled with a lighter side to your character
