Technical Reporting Manager
£42,000 - £52,000, 10% Bonus plus Benefits

An instantly recognisable PE backed manufacturing / engineering business has created a new Regional Group Financial Accountant role as it continues to develop its head office function. With reporting lines to the CFO and Head of Finance, you will be principally responsible for:
DUTIES:
- Produce all statutory accounts reporting and be a key lead in the interaction with the auditors, including year end taxation computations
- Understand the current Group structure and work with professional advisors to improve the tax and cash efficiencies of the Group
- Ensure balance sheet risk is managed effectively by conducting monthly reviews of the balance sheet with the business units - Internal audit review. Be in the units ensuring that any technical issue is bought to your attention and resolved
- Leverage systems automation and continuous improvement philosophy (Develop automation of year end accounts on Caseware)
- Ownership of Head Office P&L and all holding companies
- Enhance the Group Accounting Policy manual and implementation is adhered to throughout the Group
- Lead on Group Treasury requirements, by preparing daily, weekly monthly funding reports and ensure strict adherence to covenant agreements and banking relationships
- Ensure reporting timeline is adhered to and be involved in the month end close period for reporting of information to the investors
- Support in the due diligence process of target acquisitions and implement the "100" integration plan of purchased acquisitions
- Work closely with the UK and US finance transactional team to ensure alignment and best practice is developed
- Own the property relationships of the business
- Prepare and run the annual insurance of the Group
- Be able to cover for the site controller / business partners at month end
- Ensure ABC rates are updated across the Group regularly and are consistent in the treatment
- Support the Chief Financial Controller in ad-hoc reporting projects
Candidate:
- ACA/ACCA graduate qualified, preferably gained within an accountancy firm (Ideally Top 10)
- Post-qualified experience of Financial management and Audit & Control functions
- Highly analytical with great commercial acumen
- Experience of working in Private Equity environment with associated disposal (desirable)
- International experience (desirable)
- Experience of managing external professional relationships - lawyers, bankers and auditors
- Working knowledge and practical experience of acquisitions and disposals (due diligence and integration - both buy and sell side)
- Advanced office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
