Interim Financial Controller - SAP

Resourcery Group are working with a global multinational company in the Warrington area to bring on board a commercially astute financial controller. This is likely to be a 6 month assignment for someone who loves manufacturing and being part of a talented finance team. You must have strong SAP knowledge to apply.

The role:

• Work with the Commercial Finance Manager to implement daily, weekly and monthly monitoring controls for reviewing sales and sales margin to identify margin issues. Analyse sales and sales margin performance versus operating plan and forecast

• Review & Update End to End Margin Posting Flow Procedures - How Billing flows to the P&L - Sales & Cost of goods sold

• Present findings of sales margin issues to European Finance Director and European Controller

• Perform corrective action on the margin issues identified by enhancing existing approvals and controls around price discounting

• Work with Customer Services to improve controls over pricing of sales orders

• Reconcile and validate accuracy of customer price lists created on SAP S/4

• Ensure customer rebate agreements are approved in line, formalised in a contractual agreement, loaded and accounted for accurately using SAP functionality and settled timely in accordance with the agreement terms

• Review blocked billing in SAP and work with IT and the respective function to perform root cause issue identification to prevent future re-occurrence

• Ensure appropriate approvals and controls are in place for sales promotional pricing

• Identify and recommend improvement opportunities in areas of commercial finance and controls

• Ensure master data accuracy on customer related fields in SAP that have a financial implication

The ideal candidate:

• CIMA/ACCA/ACA fully qualified
• Have experience of working with large/medium sized companies
• Have worked with SAP previously
