Purchase Ledger Clerk

THE COMPANY:

Brewster Partners are recruiting an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk for a Sheffield based organisation. Close to the motorway and public transport links they are commutable from Barnsley, Chesterfield and Rotherham.

THE JOB:

Initially a temporary role, requiring an immediate start.

Working in a small team and reporting to the Company Accountant, duties will include:

Setting up new supplier accounts
Checking invoices against delivery notes and purchase orders
Batching, coding and inputting invoices onto the system
Dealing with queries
Liaising with internal staff and suppliers to resolve issues
Updating and maintaining supplier accounts
Reconciling statements
Ensuring invoices are authorised for payment
Posting payments to the banking system
Accruals and prepayments
Processing employee expenses
Other ad hoc duties as required

THE PERSON:

You must be available for an immediate start
Previous experience is essential
Good computer skills are essential
Good communication skills, written and verbal, are required
The ability to work with minimum supervision is essential
