Group Financial Accountant

SF Recruitment are currently working with a Dealership business in Lincoln who are recruiting for a Financial Accountant. This role is permanent paying between £40,000 - £45,000 PA.

As the Financial Accountant, you will report into the Financial Controller. You will heavily support them in the daily duties within the business. This is a very hands on position, therefore experience in preparation of the monthly accounts, monthly board packs, managing and preparing cash flows is essential.

Key responsibilities:
- Monthly preparation of journals around the areas of fixed assets, accruals, payroll and other areas of responsibility.
- Prepare cash-flow forecasts to ensure cash is managed efficient and effectively and manage working capital
- VAT and Intrastat preparation and reporting for UK and foreign entities.
- Monthly reporting and analysis.
- Regular liaison with the corporate finance team and internal / external customers.
- Identify and implement improvement opportunities.
- Provision of monthly inputs to the management accounts pack.
- Liaising with external suppliers to ensure that foreign entity reporting is accurate and timely.
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Responsibilities for providing information for internal and external company audits.


Ideally you will be a qualified accountant or towards the later stages of your studies (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). You will need to have a dealership background, as previous experience of working in Management Accounts within a fast paced environment is extremely important.
