The Opportunity

Great business – professional SME with a superb culture and inspiring exec leadership team have a requirement for an Interim Management Accountant. The £20m turnover business is forecasting double digit growth for the next 2 years based upon an exciting pipeline of new projects / clients.

You will join them on an initial 6-month assignment (fixed term contract) and support the Head of Finance in a varied and hands on position.

Your remit will include:

• Management accounts preparation (P&L, balance sheet) including commentary and business insight for a large JV / subsidiary.
• Assisting in the smooth completion of month end – providing support and guidance to junior colleagues where required.
• Involvement in budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Continuous improvement projects surrounding streamlining of processes, development of reporting and detailed MI.
• Budget holder support / business partnering.

The Business requires:

An Interim Management Accountant who can demonstrate:

• A previous track record at Management accountant / Finance Manager level.
• Ability to commit to a 6-month assignment.
• Confident IT skills – good working knowledge of Excel.
• Ability to approach new tasks in a measured, calm and proactive manner.
• Ability to gel with a small professional team in a modern-thinking SME amid growth.
• A can-do attitude and enthusiastic approach!
