This is an exciting opportunity to join a PE Backed Financial Services company which is a disruptive player in its market and in its first stage of evolution; the business has very ambitious growth plans. Based in Warrington, the role will report to the Financial Controller who needs an experienced Management Accountant to look after the day to day running of the management accounts function in an ever-developing environment with the primary focusing on the produce of accurate and timely management information. The role will be pivotal in further developing process and producers to support the
finance function as the group continues to grow and innovates in the market.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Day to day management of the accounts function to ensure that the production of the month end results
are completed in an accurate and timely manner
• Hands on production of the management accounts (currently 2 other Management Accountant & 1
Accounts Assistant)
• Production of fully reconciled monthly management accounts both P&L and B/S and other management
information requirements
• Continual development and evolution of the finance processes and procedure to:
o better utilise system to reduce manual work
o support an ever changing and growing group
• Work across functions to improve data flows and enhance process
• Ensure proper multi-currency accounting
• Ensure accurate VAT reporting in a complex VAT structure
• Ongoing team development
• Ad hoc duties which often arise
Essential Requirements
• Newly Qualified CIMA/ACCA accountant, with significant management accounts preparation experience
• Hands on approach with ability to get into the detail and understand complex transactions and decide
how to account for them appropriately
• Willingness to work in an ever-changing environment
• Strong excel skills (pivots, lookups, complete formulas, etc)
• Ability to work well under pressure in order to meet strict deadlines
• Self-starter and ability to work with minimal supervision
• Inquisitive with desire to learn in a complex environment
Nice to Have
• Financial Services experience
• Multi-currency accounting
• NetSuite system experience
