Accounts Payable Clerk

Based in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, our client is a fast-growing international business who are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team on a permanent basis.

This job would suit someone with a finance background who will be responsible for the smooth running and efficient accounts payable function for one of their divisions. The job reports to the Accounts Payable Manager and sits within a small team of 5.

The company has a strong ethos and ambitions to develop further and therefore there is a chance that this role could turn permanent.

The successful individual will be a great communicator with a numerical mind-set. The candidate must be able to work well within a team to meet strict deadlines. Strong IT skills are also essential.

Duties will include:

• Receive and process purchase invoices; obtain authorisation and allocation and where applicable, enter on the Purchase ledger
• Set up supplier accounts on Oracle
• Receive and reconcile supplier statements on the Purchase ledger and deal with any account queries
• Liaise with suppliers on any invoice-related queries
• Check the receipts for expense claims
• Post all relevant computer data entry & file all relevant documentation
• Provide ad-hoc support to the Accounts Payable Manager (using Oracle system)
