Investment Controlling and Reporting Manager

Our client now has an opportunity to join a newly created position as an Investment Controlling and Reporting Manager. The position will be specifically responsible for the financial controlling and reporting of their £32 billion investment portfolio.
Within this position, you will be supporting the Financial Reporting and Planning Manager in the production of all internal and external financial reporting. You will be taking responsibility for being a subject matter expert on investments, including providing analysis of the investment portfolio to “tell the story”. You will be driving the continuous improvement of processes with emphasis on automation and efficiency.
The applicant will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with experience gained from within practice and/or industry, preferably with experience of pensions, insurance, charities or similar entities that hold investment portfolios, where you would have gained an overview of investments. Additionally, you will have had exposure to IFRS.
This is a new position which will adapt as the Company develops and will have a mix of high-level reporting and hands-on accounting. You will have plenty of variety in your day to day responsibilities as well as opportunity to grow and develop your skills.
