Biller and Credit Controller (Contract), Central London – Marketing, up to £35,000

A new billing role has become available in a marketing agency based in Central London. We are currently only considering candidates who are IMMEDIATELY AVAILABLE or on a 1 week notice period. The person will be responsible for all banking, credit control and client billings schedules along with some reporting on working capital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for client billing schedules in the contract database mirroring agreed client terms
  • Generation of billing schedule for weekly approval by the relevant Commercial Finance Manager to ensure timely issue of sales invoices to clients in line with contractual terms
  • Drafting and issue of all sales invoices
  • Responsible in all areas of banking including daily postings of transactions and monthly reconciliation of all bank accounts
  • Cashflow management and reporting
  • Full ownership and responsibility for credit control across the entire business, spanning London, Doha, Washington, Nairobi and Singapore.
  • Responsible for Aged Debtors and working alongside the Finance Manager to ensure credit control procedures are completed
  • Alerting the Finance Manager of valid reason for any late receipts and providing a solution
  • Working Capital reporting, which entails collating the different elements from various sources and presenting this in one document
  • Implement financial systems to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the organisation
  • Supporting the Assistant Finance Manager in all relevant areas as required

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • 18 months to 3 years’ experience
  • Previous PR or experience a plus but not essential
  • Critical that the individual is comfortable and confident on the phone
  • Be extremely organised and motivated
  • Possess strong attention to detail skills and be able to prioritise multiple tasks
  • Intermediate level in Excel
  • Be a good team player
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be confident and able to work on own initiative
