Financial Controller | £70k - £80 | Crewe | ACA qualified
Axon Moore is working with a hugely acquisitive business looking to recruit an ambitious Financial Controller. Leading a small team within an ambitious business, the successful individual will report directly into the Divisional Finance Director.
Having grown via both organic growth and via acquisition in recent years, the Financial Controller will take charge of a growing team and look to develop this into a market-leading finance function.
In addition to the core reporting and compliance, the FC will be tasked with providing a comprehensive suite of commercial analysis to better understand company performance and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
The Financial Controller will be responsible for the following areas;

In addition to the core reporting and compliance, the FC will be tasked with providing a comprehensive suite of commercial analysis to better understand company performance and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
The Financial Controller will be responsible for the following areas;
- Overseeing the production of the monthly management accounts, KPIs and wider management information
- Production of annual company budgets and half year forecast plus additional performance analysis and commentary
- Leading and nurturing a small team of core reporting and commercial team members
- Take a leading role in managing the external audit process and production of statutory accounts
- Production of monthly consolidated board reports and cash flow forecasting
- Operational focus, being the focal point of finance across divisions
- Ensure that the finance element of the new IT system is rolled out and operating to a high standard
- Manage company-wide banking relationships
- ACA qualified accountant from a Top10 practice with a minimum of 5 years PQE
- Experience of thriving within a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate both the finance team plus multiple internal and external stakeholders
- M&A experience would be advantageous
