Corporate Tax Senior/Assistant Manager
Bristol
£37,000 - £50,000 on experience + Yearly Bonus + Paid Overtime
Our client are looking for a full-time Corporate Tax Senior or Assistant Manager to join their fast-growing and dynamic Bristol office.
The role
The successful applicant will work closely with the existing corporation tax team, the audit team and partners. The corporation tax team consists of a Director, a Senior Manager, two Managers, two Assistant Managers, a Senior, an Assistant and two Trainees.
Your responsibilities:
Duties will primarily include corporation tax compliance but may include small ad-hoc pieces of advisory work. The compliance side will include responsibility for a portfolio of clients which, primarily owner managed businesses, will range from small companies to large, complex international groups. The work will involve both the preparation and review of corporation tax returns, computations and tax accounting disclosures. It will also involve helping with day-to-day client and HMRC queries and tax administration. Ad-hoc advisory work will relate to the successful candidate’s portfolio of clients and may range from capital allowances queries to international tax queries.
The individual:
- The successful applicant will be committed to a career in tax and have relevant experience in a corporate tax role in practice.
- They will have strong technical skills with experience of groups and tax accounting is essential as is a willingness to learn.
- They will require confidence in dealing with colleagues, partners and clients; use their own initiative and problem solve and possess good organisational and interpersonal skills to manage their own portfolio.
- It is essential that applicants can provide accurate work in a timely and cost-effective manner

Education and experience:
Candidates should be CTA and/or ACA qualified.
Salary/benefits
- Annual salary (market rate) depending upon experience
- Salary review annually in October
- Paid overtime or time off in lieu or eligibility for the assistant manager’s overtime scheme
