Finance Business Partner

My client, based in Exeter, has an immediate requirement for an experienced Business Partner.

This is a unique role, providing the finance lead on a new joint venture within the Public Sector.

The successful candidate will need to be able to conceptualise governance and reporting requirements and provide clear direction for the financial control and monitoring of the project. Building strong working relationships will be essential for success and ensuring the needs of the involved organisations are met.

In this role you will:

• Be a key liaison between two organisations working together for the first time, bringing together financial data from both parties to develop a new budget
• Work with key stakeholders in each organisation, ensuring that appropriate challenge is provided and that budget holders are in a position to fully account for their business decisions
• Liaising with colleagues outside of finance to ensure that there is clear alignment between operational and financial performance reporting
• Provide appropriate information to the Project Leaders to enable them to fully understand the progress of the project

The ideal candidate will need to have:

• Significant experience of analysing Financial performance, preferably within a public sector environment
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Excellent IT experience
• Ability to provide constructive challenge to the highest levels of management
