Senior Accountant / Client Manager

A highly successful accountancy practice, based in Barnstaple, undergoing growth and expansion is searching for a qualified ACA or ACCA, Senior Accountant / Client Manager to join the team in a key position and pivotal hire for this growing office.

The firm, based Barnstaple, has developed a strong reputation and is a well established firm of accountants. The firm is large enough to act for wider ranging corporates, groups and larger clients , as well as acting for a larger bulk of much smaller SMEs and limited companies, sole traders and partnerships with clients across industries including wholesalers, retail, hotels and leisure, importers , manufacturers and service related sectors, as a few examples.

Description

Joining the firm as a Senior Accountant / Client Manager level professional, based out of the firms Barnstaple offices you will take responsibility for managing the full provision of varied, general practice services to your own portfolio of clients as you develop within this firm and role. Clients are varied across limited companies, SME's and OMBs and wide ranging sole traders and partnerships. As well as managing the provision of accounts, tax and general practice services to your clients, in both a hands on and review role you will look to develop added value relationships with your clients, identifying opportunities such as tax and business planning, systems improvements, profitability improvements and other project work working with partners and the wider team. You will manage a wider team, reviewing work and supporting junior staff in their development. There will be scope to carve a key position within this growing office and progress in your career.

Profile

You will be ACA or ACCA qualified, or equivalent, with a career background in accountancy practice, at experienced Senior Accountant / Client Manager levels with client and portfolio management responsibility ideally. You will have a recent background working for an accountancy practice, in both a hands on and ideal managerial, review capacity alongside this as well, or with the demonstrable ability to step up into this level of role, overseeing the delivery of accounts and tax services to a mixed client base of limited companies, SMEs and OMBs, sole traders and partnerships.

Job Offer

Circa £28,000 - £36,000 plus benefits, negotiable dependent on experience and background of the right professional.
