Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working with a leading and reputable business based in Hull to assist them in the recruitment of an experienced Payroll Supervisor.
The role will be standalone but as the business continues to expand and grow, there will be scope for the role to expand in additional duties in the future. The main purpose of the role is to provide technical payroll expertise and thought leadership, whilst always delivering the best practice within Payroll. This will be a very hands on role, striving to drive continuous improvement as the company continues to grow and the role will also involve a European/ oversees payroll which can be quite complex at times.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
*Manage two apprentices currently working within the payroll team
*Managing 16 payrolls across the group from a number of different countries (Germany, Netherlands, Romania, Austria, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Sweden, Norway)
*Collating New Starter information
*Reviewing Expense Payments made to contractors
*Arranging for advance payments to be made to contractors
*Payment to Umbrella/Limited companies
*Managing the collation of timesheet data ensuring adequate controls are met to avoid and potential discrepancies with pay
*Calculating sick payments in accordance with applicable legislation
*Reviewing Sales Invoices and posting in the system
*Preparing cash flow information for the Finance Manager
*Preparing a number of KPI's for the Senior Management Team
*Managing workload for two apprentices, conducting weekly updates and review
*Completing HMRC Employment Intermediaries report
You will need to be able to demonstrate the following qualifications and experiences:
* 5+ years payroll experience
* CIPP qualified or part qualified would be highly desirable
* A proven track record of developing strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels in an outsourced environment
* Attention to detail and desire to follow issues through to resolution
* Creative and proactive approach
* Previous staff management experience
