Commercial Management Accountant

Elevation Accountancy & Finance are proud to be working with a successful retail business in Rotherham as they look to recruit a commercially-minded qualified Commercial Management Accountant.

The business has recently launched a new division and this role will support the finance function for this new entity, as well as having ownership over the P&L and maintaining all the financial reporting and analysis for it. It will also have a focus on driving continuous process improvement and the successful Accountant will have the chance to add real value to the business.

This will be a varied role with duties will include: -

*Preparing Monthly Management Accounts (Including P&L and Balance Sheet)
*Conducting variance analysis
*Budgeting and Forecasting
*Maintenance of Trading and Cash flow forecasting model
*Continuous drive of improvements to processes & controls across the department
*Contribution to robust and effective financial reporting
*Business partnering with sales and operations team and management
*Manage control accounts and reconciliations
*Month-end processes - journals, reconciliation
*Ad-hoc analysis and project work

The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences:

*Qualified CIMA/ ACA/ ACCA (Qualified by Experience will also be considered)
*Able to effectively work to and meet strict deadlines
*Strong organisational and communication skills
*Be able to build relationships at all levels and establish absolute credibility with stakeholders, particularly colleagues, and convey information effectively
*A high level of attention to detail
