Management Accountant

A well respected aerospace business with a fantastic client base has an opportunity for a Management Accountant to join them.

Based in Chester, the purpose of the role is to ensure effective management of the accounting department and all the administration within it. You will be required to produce monthly and annual management accounts as requested, liaising with corporate managers, regional and local managers.

Key Areas of responsibility:

• Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts
• Prepare job costing/pricing analysis
• Preparation of mid and end of month forecasts
• Maintain Asset register and depreciation
• Monthly reporting of inventory value
• Balance sheet account reconciliations
• Annual budget preparation in conjunction with the management team
• Management, training and development of accounts staff
• VAT returns
• Internal/external accounting audits
• Developing and implementing accounting procedure and systems
• Provide KPI data
• Support Management Team in selection of IT and capital project providers
• Support Management Team with key customers and supplier negotiations

The Person

• Ideally CIMA/ACCA Qualified with a Manufacturing/Engineering background
• Confident and commercial approach
• Strong communication and IT skills
