Accountant

Accountant | London Euston Station, London (Greater) | £32-35,000 + benefits including flexi time, study package and healthcare. 

Our client are looking for a part qualified / qualified by experience accountant to join their team near Euston station, London. 

We are looking for an Accountant to work within this department. This role will require somebody committed to a high standard of work. The successful applicant will be reporting to the Financial Controller.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of the role are varied and will include:

• Bringing the accounts up to P&L/balance sheet level for 5 companies
• Preparing management accounts
• Preparing VAT returns
• Ownership of various nominal ledgers within the group including Balance Sheet reconciliations and various P&L schedules
• Other ad hoc duties in line with the role

The successful candidate should possess at least 3 years’ experience within an accounting role. They should also demonstrate the following qualities:

• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong numeric and analytical skills
• Strong problem solving skills
• An advanced level ability with Microsoft Excel, along with being a strong general IT user
• Able to work well under pressure
• The ability to work in a team environment
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

The ideal candidate will be a part-qualified accountant or possibly qualified by experience.
