Chambers Waste Management is a versatile, continuously growing company looking for someone to join their team as Payroll Controller / Purchase Ledger Assistant.

Your new role

As the Payroll Controller / Purchase Ledger assistant, you will be the sole charge Payroll Controller responsible for completing four monthly payrolls for the Group (two administration and two operational) as well as assisting the Purchase Ledger Clerk with overflow work. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for using Sage payroll system to record absences and creating financial reports. Other responsibilities will include: completing P45 for leavers; preparation of P11d’s as required; administer the auto enrolment process and provide accounting year end reports for auditors.

What you'll need to succeed

You will need to be savvy on payroll, ideally have used Sage. Excel skills need to be intermediate as there is a lot of data to extract and input in Sage which is collated weekly. You will need to be comfortable doing quarterly returns and liaising with HMRC. Most importantly is a positive, proactive approach every day!

What you'll get in return

You will receive a salary of up to £32,000 plus excellent benefits. There is parking on site or a short bus journey from Guildford town centre station, which is located next to Guildford train station.
