Redruth, Cornwall (with travel to sites across Cornwall)

They are now looking for an Income Management Co-ordinator to join their team and oversee their rent collection processes.

With welfare reform and increasing prices, times are hard for many and our client is committed to helping local people improve their financial wellbeing and remain in their homes. You will have the chance to play a key role in these efforts by advising customers and giving them the knowledge and support they need to succeed. 

The Role

As the Income Management Co-ordinator, you will oversee rent accounts and make sure that accounts in arrears are dealt with promptly. 

Working in-line with our client’s income strategy, policies and procedures, you will: 

- Adopt a positive approach to collecting rent, with emphasis on early intervention 
- Help customers who are affected by welfare reform to sustain their tenancies 
- Negotiate repayment agreements and payment methods with customers 
- Co-ordinate and carry out pre-tenancy interviews, viewings and sign-ups
- Occasionally travel to sites across Cornwall to support eviction processes  

About You

To join our client as an Income Management Co-ordinator, you will need: 

- Experience of delivering excellent customer service 
- Knowledge of housing legislation, including housing benefit and welfare reform legislation 
- Good IT skills, including a CRM and MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, Publisher and Outlook 
- Sound numerical and analytical skills
- At a minimum, five GCSEs or equivalent at grade C or above
- A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle
