We are Horizontal Products and Services, part of Capita's Software Division.

Horizontal Products and Services offers a range of software and professional service solutions to clients across multiple sectors both in the UK and internationally. This role will support our application services business which provides IT support and bespoke development solutions to both public and private sector clients.

THE ROLE

The business is looking for a committed and ambitious Finance Business Partner to fulfil an exciting and varied role within its Finance department. The ideal candidate will be ACCA (or equivalent) qualified, hard-working, quick learner, strong-minded and confident individual not afraid to ask questions and communicate with people at all levels.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Finance Director, this challenging and busy role will see the successful candidate reporting on the following:

*Work closely and support Finance Director

*Provide financial support and guidance to directors, managers and other key stakeholders

*Monthly forecasting - full understanding and analysis of the business' transactions, both revenue and costs, including detailed commentary on key monthly variances and adjustments

*Full ownership and control of month-end process including final review of the business' performance before the books are closed. Be prepared to assist other team members when/if required

*Monthly Balance Sheet analysis, Cashflow, Working Capital, Management packs, other reports which require completion as and when requested by Group

*Full ownership of each stage of the Business Planning process

*Full adherence to Group policies

*Full ownership of internal and external audit processes

*Training, mentoring and developing 1 direct report (Management Accountant) and liaison with our offshore finance teams

*Work closely wider finance team and support each other to achieve smooth running of the Finance function

*Always be prepared to support other team members if/when necessary

*Other ad-hoc duties

REQUIREMENTS

*Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role

*ACCA (or equivalent) qualified

*Team management experience

*Strong knowledge of Project Accounting and Accounting Standards

*Excellent double entry skills

*Strong Excel skills

*Ability to work under pressure

*Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize

*Ability to handle large volumes of data

*Ability to work independently and as part of a team

*Knowledge of SAP and Axiom systems (Desirable)
