Finance Business Partner

A great client of mine based in Central Reading are currently looking to add a newly qualified finance professional to their team in a newly created role. This will be an extremely commercially focused role and a great next step for a talented individual looking to make a step up in a large and well recognised organisation.

Our client is one of the largest Transportation businesses in the UK having a large presence within the Rail & Motor industry. The business are well recognised for their clear set progression plans for staff and for having development opportunities in place.

Description

The Finance Business Partner will be strongly involved in commercial activities for the business. These will include;

• Leading budget processes.
• Partnering with non-finance teams including operational staff and marketing.
• Completing monthly management accounts.
• Lead and provide financial advice and guidance to senior budget holders in understanding the impact of the period results and forecasts against budges so they can understand their business better.

• Be the expert in the function on accounting practices and advise on financial results and forecasts for budget holders, including preparing period accruals, transfers and adjustments.

• Model and analyse cost base and identify and drive opportunities and efficiencies to achieve area targets.

• Engage and influence senior members of the team to help them understand their financial position and use professional expertise to guide in initiatives to improve business performance

Profile

The successful candidate for the Finance Business Partner role will be someone coming from a Management Accounts background with experience in working with non-finance teams looking for a step up into a more commercial role.

The candidate will have strong communication skills and a passion for building relationships.

Job Offer

For the successful candidate a package of up to £45,000 depending upon experience plus bonus and other benefits.
