Digital Finance Analyst

The Role:

The Commercial Finance Team of leading British newspaper, magazine and digital publisher Reach plc is looking for a Digital Finance Analyst to join for a full-time, permanent role. Based in London’s Canary Wharf, the successful Finance Analyst will report directly to the Digital Finance Manager.

Main Responsibilities:

As our new Digital Finance Analyst, you will:

  • Provide support to the Digital Finance Manager and Digital Finance Director across Group, Nationals and Regionals  
  • Prepare monthly management accounts for Product & Engineering cost centre
  • Conduct full month end close including balance sheet reconciliations
  • Maintain general ledger on a weekly basis to ensure postings have been made correctly
  • Extract data for analysis from core systems to build robust reporting (DFP/ Google Analytics/ Facebook/ GL/ ASP/ BPC)
  • Maintain digital metric data in SAP BPC
  • Business Partner with Commercial and Product & Engineering teams to produce KPI reporting on digital performance and variance analysis of monthly revenue and costs
  • Assist with the month end process (prepayments, accruals)
  • Help with invoice coding and gathering invoices from various clients
  • Help to build a "digital dictionary" as a reference for the wider team
  • Create and maintain financial reports (tables/ graphs/dashboards, etc), building excel models as required
  • Liaise with the accounting hubs on matters where required
  • Data collation for weekly forecasts
  • Cover work tasks during holidays, sickness and absence – across both functions

Candidate Requirements:

We are looking to hire a Finance Analyst who demonstrates:

  • Graduate level or early in studies (CIMA/ACCA)
  • Advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills (SAP BPC preferable)
  • Strong interpersonal and decision-making skills
  • The ability to work on projects unsupervised or as part of a team
  • Knowledge of the media and publishing industry is preferable
