Job Purpose:
The group comprises a number of stand alone divisions and the Finance Controller will be heavily involved in the day to day running of the Distribution Division, alongside the wider functions of a Group reporting role.
He/she will bridge the gap between the CFO and the Divisional finance teams.
This position will be working with remote teams in India, as well as internal departments in the company. Technical competence, good communication and a confident manner are prerequisites.
Job Specific Responsibilities:
- Oversea, production of group management accounts, including Board pack and review of KPI’s
- Establish a thorough understanding of the numbers, in particular of the Distribution division
- Presents the monthly financials to the CFO and, on occasion, to the Board
- Manage the submission of group tax returns encompassing payroll, corporate and sales taxes
- Manage year end audits and deliver the financial statements within dictated timelines
- Work closely with operational teams in inventory reporting
- Build, support and develop the finance team, extracting full capabilities
- Ad hoc work
Role Requirements:
- ACCA / ACA qualified
- FMCG/retail/distribution industry preferred
- Inventory experience would be a significant advantage
- 5+year post qualification experience
- Stable CV
- Good ERP experience.
- Experience working with high inventory volumes.
- Experienced people manager
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Good communicator with internal and external departments.
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to work accurately in a busy and demanding environment.
- Can work independently whilst being part of a team
