Interim Accountant

Our Client are based in South Leeds and offer free on-site parking with easy access from motor way networks. Due to ongoing change there is an opportunity for a qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent Accountant to join the business, initially for a 6 month interim period. Qualified by experience may also be considered. The role sits within a large and established team, looking after reporting for UK and Europe.

This role is very much 'hands on' and 'in the detail' and will initially take responsibility for:
*Payroll related accounting for large Belgian warehouse
*Marketing related activities ( accounting for spend / costs, income) with significant liaison with commercial finance and marketing teams
*Maintaining good level of control over the balance sheet, ensuring accounts are reconciled and any problems highlighted and resolved to required timescales
*Strive for consistency, simplification and improvements to accounting processes
*Lots of interaction with stakeholders across the business

In order to deliver in this role you must demonstrate competency in the following areas
*Comfortable with management accounts preparation
*Experience of dealing with high volume transactional processes and analysing lots of data
*SAP experience preferable and comfortable with financial systems
*Sound Excel skills
*European language skills not essential but would be advantageous
*Technically sound
*Good attention to detail
*Comfortable working in changeable environment
*Can communicate clearly at all levels
*Driven and self-starter
