Our client is looking for an accountant to come in to set up and progress an existing project in the finance department.
Client Details
Our client is a local government body who looks after a number of services around the county of Northamptonshire. They are currently undergoing a number of changes and are seeking support within their finance function.
Description
- Working collaboratively and flexibly with both finance team members and service colleagues
- Looking at the coordination and communication of the financial accounts and processes
- Assisting with the financial set up of a project including its systems, procedures and implementing robust monitoring arrangements
- Providing customer focused technical financial accounting advice to finance and service colleagues as required
- Assisting with the development of a suite of financial management reports for the Trust Board
- Contributing to the preparation of the statement of accounts and disclosure notes and related working papers
- Working with the business to develop commercial financial practices as well as having an understanding of the public sector context in which it operates
- Working with large data sets to support trend analysis and forecasting
- Ability to explain complex financial arrangements and transactions to non-financial managers and stakeholders
- Monitoring and reporting on the delivery of savings proposals and development of future savings proposals
