Elevation Recruitment Group are looking for a commercially minded, fully qualified Finance Manager for a well established Service Business in Rotherham.

The appointment is required following a successful turn-around and substantial further investment to drive customer acquisition. The finance department is central in driving ambitious growth plans and delivering against the recent growth investment secured.

The purpose of the role is to maintain accurate reporting and robust financial controls and processes, ensuring deadlines are met, whilst optimising cost control and revenue assurance. Also, to ensure all preparations for the interim and annual audit are in place to support an efficient year end close, whilst also maintaining the integrity of the financial system.

Duties & Responsibilities will include: -

- Management and development of a Management Accountant
- Closely support the Head of Finance in all aspects of the finance function
- Take ownership on the month end timetable, ensuring all stakeholders are engaged and timelines are adhered to
- Act as the primary point of contact for interim and year end audit coordination and deliverables
- Primary owner of VAT, PAYE and all HMRC related deliverables
- Timely completion of the monthly P&L, Balance Sheet and supporting schedules
- Monthly cash flow forecasting
- Support the forecasting process, ensuring the balance sheet and cash flow forecasts accurately reflect trading and operational plans
- Business case preparation and review
- Proactively manage deadlines, ensuring a 'no surprises' culture across the finance team
- Promote awareness of risks to business objectives and identification of opportunities to deliver incremental margin
- The over-arching owner of the financial statements, including their accuracy and timely production
- Engage effectively with external stakeholders (HMRC and External Auditors)
- Other ad-hoc project based work as the need arises in the business

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experiences:-

- CIMA/ ACCA/ ACA qualified
- Staff management experience (Ideal)
- Driven towards continuous improvement
- Strong communicator
- Highly capable in Excel (Including pivot tables and v-lookups)
- Ability to multi-task
- Confident with the ability to lead and influence others
