THE JOB:


As a member of the finance team you will be instrumental in providing the necessary support at an exciting time of rapid company growth and development. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced financial professional to play a pivotal role in the development of the department and of the company.

The role will requires a self starter who is super confident in a hands on role. There are development opportunities as the department and business continue to grow.


Reporting to the Financial Controller responsibilities will include:

  • KPI reporting, accounts commentary and variance analysis of actuals vs budget
  • Assist in cashflow forecasting and budget preparation
  • Monthly consolidated management accounts preparation for 4 entities
  • VAT returns including group VAT return
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations for four entities
  • Fixed Assets Management
  • Maintain the daily cashbook and post transactions
  • All month end journal entries including but not limited to accruals, prepayments, payroll, deferred and accrued revenue, overhead allocations
  • Accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Supplier payments and Petty cash reconciliation and posting
  • Assist in writing up and implementing policies and procedures
  • Assist in accountancy software upgrade and implementation
  • Staff management will eventually be a part of this role
  • Additional ad hoc support when required.

THE PERSON:

  • Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years' accountancy experience within industry
  • Really strong technical accounting skills
  • Experience within an SME environment
  • You will be AAT Qualified or Part ACCA/CIMA Qualified (or equivalent)
  • Supervisory experience is desired but not essential
  • Excellent IT skills are essential including knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, V Look Ups etc)
  • You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills
