Grafton Banks Finance are currently working with a very well respected forward thinking commercial company with offices in central Brighton to recruit an interim Part time Accounts Assistant working up to 4 hours a day 5 days a week. This is a temporary position for a period of 2-3 months whilst the company recruit on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Financial Controller you will be responsible for assisting with the companies Accounts Payable and Sales Ledger. On a day to day basis you will:

  • Download, print off & reconcile Bank Statements to file
  • Obtain available funds to process
  • Print out Sales Invoices, record and upload system
  • Update Sales Invoices with due date and currency
  • Input Sales Invoices onto accounting package
  • Purchase invoices and Expense Claims
  • Input Purchase Invoices
  • Return Purchase Invoices if incorrect to relevant parties, agree Statement of Accounts
  • Contact Credit Control departments for missing Invoices or Invoices in dispute
  • Commissioning Invoices make sure Sales Invoice(s) have been paid
  • Create payments for all currencies
  • Any Ad-hoc finance assistant related tasks
  • The successfully candidate will have previous experience of working in purchase ledger and sales ledger in an accounts assistant based role. You will need to have strong communication skills to be able to work across the business and with external parties. You will need to have strong IT skills in order to manipulate the finance data.

    Due to the interim nature of this position candidates available within 2 weeks notice will take preference. For your experience in the above you will be rewarded with an competitive hourly rate.
