Group Financial Accountant

A multi-faceted financial services PLC is on the lookout for an ACA qualified Group Financial Accountant to take on a key role within their team in Birmingham. This position is offered on a permanent, full time basis.

About the Role

The Group Financial Accountant will carry out the following duties:

• Take ownership for assigned areas of the Group consolidation to ensure that the Group accounts are materially accurate and produced in line with PLC's accounting policies
• Work with the Group Financial Controller as required to assist with the monthly reporting of cost centre information to the head office managers
• Maintain the accounting records for designated Head Office entities
• Take responsibility for the monthly loading of the results of these entities into the consolidation system (resolving any problems which may arise as a consequence)
• Play a leading role in the annual exercise to review the statutory accounts of all UK subsidiaries
• Ensure accounts are filed at Companies House in accordance with their deadlines

Candidate Requirements

To be successful in your application for this Group Financial Accountant position, you will have:

• Recently graduated as an ACA Accountant
• Background at a Big 6 / Top 10 practice
• Demonstrable PLC Audit experience
• Experience of complex FSA reporting and consolidation accounting
• The ability to prioritise a heavy workload and motivate others
• IT proficiency including advanced Excel
