An acquisitive, PE backed business is seeking a technically strong Financial Reporting Manager to join their team in Birmingham on a permanent basis.
Role and Responsibilities
The Financial Reporting Manager will be joining an impressive organisation which continues to buck market trends with a number of further acquisitions and has extended growth plans.
In your new role, you will be preparing group quarterly financial reporting submissions under IFRS, preparing consolidated financial statements under US GAAP and building relationships with various Controllers and Stakeholders across the group. You will act as the point of contact for all external auditors on a regular basis and facilitate the audit of the statutory accounts.
Key Duties:
- Review and support with monthly trial balances
- Preparation of annual statutory accounts under UK GAAP
- Support with the preparation of quarterly and yearend financial reporting packs under IFRS
- Assist the Group FC in evaluating and implementing new processes and ensure statutory accounts are produced to the highest standard
- Help to ensure financial systems are developed and maintained and participate in projects and complete ad hoc tasks, as and when required
- Assist the Group FC in establishing and implementing new accounting policies under both IFRS and UK GAAP
- Acting as a main point of contact for all audit and taxation related queries
Candidate Profile
The business is looking for a Financial Accountant with the following traits:
- Strong academics including a university degree
- An ACA / ACCA qualification
- Experience at a reputable practice (Top 10 / 20 ideally)
- An audit background
- Excellent technical knowledge in delivering and preparing statutory accounts
