Financial Controller

Badenoch & Clark are currently recruiting for a PE backed business who are looking for a Financial Controller to join the business at their head office based in Derby.

This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate to take on a broad role which includes responsibility for developing Reporting & Controls, Management Information and Financial Systems as well as mentoring the wider team and looking to improve Operational Finance processes.

- Managing a team of 10
- Production of monthly consolidated management accounts including P&L, balance sheet, cashflow, KPI's, reconciliations and analysis
- Assisting CFO with publication of Board Pack and adhoc reports
- Maintaining deferred revenue schedules calculating revenue recognition - contracted and consulting revenues
- Maintain contracted revenue data base with assistance of financial administrator
Payroll and all employee tax related matters - note gross to net is prepared by bureau
- VAT returns
- Management of bank accounts, payment of suppliers and preparation of payment schedules
- Credit control review and reporting
- Assistance in preparation of budgets and financial forecasts (short and medium term) including the preparation of consolidated balance sheets and cashflows and preparation of bank covenant testing forecasts
- Short term cash forecasting
- Assist in general running of the finance function and support CFO
- Identify opportunities for improvement, efficiency gains and cost savings
- Production of adhoc financial/non-financial analysis and analytical information
- Monthly reporting of results to LDC in LDC format
- Bank covenant reporting


This role will suit a Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with an appetite to be proactive in driving change and improvements in an exciting business.
