Part Qualified Management Accountant

Devizes

£25,000 - £32,000

You will enjoy a highly varied, business-facing role within a growing PLC able to offer significant (and rapid) career progression opportunity.

You will work within a cohesive team and be supported through your qualification.

The role will provide you with plenty of challenge and project involvement and is designed as a platform to progress from.

The Financial Controller will provide valuable mentoring and give you chance to develop your technical and commercial accounting skills in parallel to your ongoing study.  It is hoped that you will qualified over the next 1-2 years and step into a more senior business partnering role within the group.

You will be involved in operational management accounting from the outset.  Your remit will include working closely with non-finance budget holders – building relationships which will allow you to gain a true understanding of the numbers and enhance your commercial awareness.

The role will provide exposure to:

  • Management accounting, business partnering with cost centre managers (non finance colleagues)
  • Variance analysis, budgets and forecasts
  • KPI reporting and overall performance analysis
  • Review and analysis of Capex spend projects, reporting on ROI / payback.
  • Providing financial reporting and MI to support project justification.
  • Analysis of trends (labour spend, materials variances, purchase price variances etc)

You will enjoy really making a difference whilst developing a completely rounded skill base within a fast paced manufacturing environment.

You will need to have a demonstrable confidence in your core month end accounting experience and be looking to complete ACCA or CIMA.  You will also need to have a firm understanding of excel (be comfortable with pivots / lookups for example).

You will need:

  • A demonstrable track record of success at assistant management accountant / management accountant level
  • Excellent Excel skills and confidence in your ability to analyse data
  • Firm understanding of debits and credits and exposure to month end tasks
  • A keenness to develop and progress
  • Ideally experience of standard costing / variance reporting within a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Ambition and commitment to complete ACCA / CIMA
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team along with excellent communication skills.

This is a superb opportunity for someone keen to fast track their career.
