Group Financial Accountant

An outstanding opportunity exists for an accomplished technically strong Group Financial Accountant to join an established US owned distribution group.

This is a permanent role at their Coventry office in which the successful accountant will further augment the department’s regional reporting function into the operational and corporate management team.

Role Specification

As the Group Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring that inter-profit balances for the region are reconciled within month end time frames along with the preparation of management reporting packs for analytical review.

Other Key Duties will include:

• Producing quarterly and year end supplementary reporting submissions for the corporate team and external auditors
• Reviewing and monitoring of regional policies and controls to maintain quality and accuracy of information
• Communicating high quality corporate reporting and financial analytics across the whole business
• Liaising with customers and internal stakeholders on a regular basis

The Candidate

The ideal Group Accountant will have:

• Qualified as an ACA/ACCA Practice or Industry Accountant, with extensive relevant experience
• A proven track record of intra-profit reconciliation and consolidation within a large manufacturing organisation
• Experience of continuous improvement to processes
• Excellent people management skills with the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-finance management
• A strong knowledge of SAP
