Finance Manager. Our client, a small manufacturing company with a niche product/service and an international customer base, has an opening for a Finance Manager. Candidates should possess all-round accounts experience up to management accounts level. Sage Line 50 and Sage Payroll experience is essential. Sage Job Costing experience desirable. You will have some assistance with invoice processing and other routine tasks from an assistant.

The main purpose of this position is to perform day to day accounting activities and provide financial reports to management.

Job Description

Primary Tasks
To maintain Sage Accounts and Sage Job Costing.
*Day Books
*PAYE
*VAT
*Employee expenses
*Pension funds
*Cash flow projection
*Project surveillance
*Cost reporting
*Bank reconciliation
*Credit Card reconciliation
*Monthly management reports for Board meetings
*BACS payments
*Petty cash

Secondary tasks
*Dealing with overhead suppliers
*electricity, gas and water
*telephone
*shippers
*rent and rates
*Supplier Credit Rating
*Customer Credit Rating
*Updating terms and condition with suppliers
*Performance bonds and letters of credit record

Person Specification

Essentials

*High Level of experience in using Sage Line 50, Sage Payroll and Sage Job costing.
*Confidentiality and integrity whilst dealing with company and employee details.
*Report generation through Excel and Word.
*Knowledge of VAT and PAYE regulations.
*Experience of dealing with Accounts year end audits, Customs and Excise and the Inland Revenue.
*Credit Control skills
*Good communication, organisation and administrative skills.
*Capable of working on own initiative
*Open on Qualifications, but Experience is just as important.
*If there any gaps in experience, training can be given.
