An interesting supervisor opportunity working within a great accountancy practice based in Canterbury. This role will lead and supervise the Payroll Team, working closely with clients and the wider accountancy team. The roel can either include processing or be focused more so on processes and efficiency.

Description

We are seeking to recruit a payroll supervisor for a practice based Canterbury.

The role will involve:

  • Processing of a portfolio of client payrolls;
  • Associated auto enrolment pension returns and uploads to provider;
  • Assistance with client queries and dealing with matters such as PAYE refunds, PAYE scheme registration, set up of auto enrolment schemes such as NEST, client assistance with operation of their in house schemes;
  • Delegation of work to payroll assistant and providing assistance and training on payroll matters.
  • Correspondence with clients and their employees.
  • Updating software and organising payroll backups.
  • Preparation of quarterly bills for payroll clients.
  • Administration, filing, etc relating to payroll bureau clients.

Profile

To be considered for this Payroll Supervisor based in Canterbury you will have:

  • Previous Accountancy Practice/Bureau experience
  • A proven ability to handle multiple payrolls, a strong working knowledge of Auto Enrolment
  • An enthusiastic supervisor who leads from the front and has the ability to coach, develop and mentor a team of administrators.
  • Able to work well under pressure and thrive within a fast paced working environment.
  • Client focused and enjoy building long standing client relationships
