Elevation Senior Finance are currently working with a major plc business in West Yorkshire, who are looking for a highly knowledgeable and experienced Project & Systems Finance Manager on a fixed term contract of 12 months.

You will be responsible of supporting the automation and standardisation of activity within the Reporting team, whilst also supporting systemic development in the Transactional team. It is expected that the role will initially be split 60:40 in Reporting's favour as there are a lot of processes that require simplifying, standardising and documenting. Once this phase has been worked through, then the split will likely go 40:60, as focus shifts to ERP implementation.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven individual to gain experience and exposure within an innovative and well regarded business. This will involve working with key senior finance members and other senior managers across the wider business to understand business processes and how these can be incorporated into the planning process. The role needs to operate at multiple levels and will involve a high element of process review and redesign.

Key duties and responsibilities will include:

-Management of Roadmap - Reporting
-Management of key priority projects, aligning processes and deliver best practise in advance of ERP implementation
-Managing the end to end implementation of the items on the Roadmap
-Suggest and support the leadership team on systemic implementations
-Take the lead on the integration, implementation and testing of the ERP system ensuring that FSS requirements are recognised and understood by the ERP project team
-Ensure that all processes are mapped in readiness for ERP/RPA implementation
-Support and advise the leadership team on best practice and team strategy, including the subsequent implementation of the strategy
-Escalating of any key critical areas or problems in a timely manner to the leadership team who will act as the decision makers of said problems
-Facilitation of meetings with structure and agendas to update key members of status
-Drive forward fast decision making
-Working with the business unit stakeholders to agree and align best practice, to support the standardisation and automation
-Presenting findings to Stakeholders and effective communication between team members and departments
-Work closely with IT Department to keep up to date on progress of new system implementation

The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences:

-Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA) or QBE
-Relevant Project Management Qualifications such as Prince2
-Lean process improvement qualifications such as Six Sigma or relevant experience
-Line Management experience preferred or other evidence of strong interpersonal and influencing skills
-Strong systems skills, including the development, maintenance and implementation of financial systems
-Knowledge of implementation of P2P systems would be an advantage
-Excellent excel and spreadsheet skills (preferably with VBA/macro experience)
-Must be detail orientated with the ability to think strategically and analytically
-Experience on other IT/systems at an operational level
-Experience gained in a contract-based business in sectors such as construction, engineering, energy, outsourcing, consultancy or manufacturing
-Large/mid-size business exposure
-Strong technical accounting experience/knowledge
-Strong transactional accounting experience/knowledge
