Plant Financial Controller

Elevation Accountancy and Finance are currently engaged with a with a Global Manufacturing business based in Huddersfield, who are looking for a Commercially focused Plant Financial Controller.

As an active member of the plants leadership team, you will provide appropriate support and leadership activities, as well as contribute to the development and execution of the overall Plant business strategy and objectives.

Key duties will include: -

- Principal Member of the Management team of the overall site
- Participate in the development and setting of strategic and operational objectives
- Provide comprehensive and compelling financial perspective to operating issues
- Lead the financial evaluation of capital expenditures and technical programs
- Work closely with other functional areas to identify and seize on opportunities to drive cost out of the business, improve productivity, optimise inventories and reduce lead times
- Develop, implement and manage sourcing procedures that eliminate waste, leverage best practices and reduce cost
- Lead financial planning, forecasting and reporting processes for the plant
- Provide in-depth analysis and understanding of key variances to Plan and Forecast
- Provide insightful analytics that anticipate change and drive decision making, such as product and/or customer profitability
- Lead proactive development of contingencies plan, productivity improvement and corrective actions to ensure optimal financial results and shareholder value
- Supervise product costing, taking account of operational performance


Your profile:

- CIMA, ACCA OR ACA Qualified
- Recent relevant experience in Manufacturing
- Ability to lead, influence and coach direct reports
- Stakeholder management and influencing
- Commercial and operational decision support
- Strong IT skills, including advanced Excel
