Interim Head of Investor Relations

Interim Head of Investor Relations - Leamington Spa

My FTSE listed client has a requirement for an Interim Head of Investor Relations to Join their business for a period of 6 to 12 months. Ideally they will fill this on a fixed term contract basis at between £90-100,000 (pro rata) but may consider day rate up to £500 per day on a LTD company basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Investor Relations

• Write external-facing results or trading announcements, scripts and supporting documents, liaising with external advisors and internal stakeholders
• Preparing the CEO, CFO and Group Corporate Finance Director for any interactions with the investment community
• Respond to investor inquiries, shareholder calls and analyst calls
• Represent the business unaccompanied at analyst meetings, investor meetings or conferences
• Monthly analysis of share register (for board report or other purposes)
• Compilation of external expectations and subsequent analysis
• Preparing financial information in readiness for results announcements and trading updates

Corporate Finance

• Research and analysis on potential acquisition or investment opportunities
• Maintaining a target register
• Developing financial models and investment cases, with sufficient flexibility to quickly run multiple scenarios
• Project management of any deal processes from start to finish, including valuation, due diligence, analysis and post-acquisition plans
• Supporting the integration of acquired businesses

Key Skills Required:

• Investor relations experience of 5 years of more
• Excellent influencing and communication skills. Candidates must be able to communicate articulately and with confidence
• Ability to quickly build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at varying levels of seniority
• Ability to understand the different drivers of a P&L, balance sheet and cash flow, and articulate these to external audiences
• Highly analytical and demonstrable commercial acumen
• Proven record in drawing insight from analysis
• Ability to create robust and flexible financial models to appraise investment cases
