THE COMPANY:
Brewster Partners are recruiting an experienced Financial Accountant for a multi million pound group of companies based in Sheffield. Close to the motorway they are commutable from Barnsley, Rotherham, Worksop and Chesterfield.
THE JOB:
Reporting to the Group Finance Manager duties will include, but not limited to:
- Preparation of annual statutory accounts;
- Preparation of iXBRL tagging of statutory accounts, using CaseWare, for submission to HMRC;
- Liaison with external auditors through to statutory accounts sign-off;
- Preparation of annual tax computations, including detailed Profit & Loss analysis
- Liaison with external tax advisors through to filing with HMRC
- Responsibility for processing and managing UK executive payroll;
- Responsibility for monthly and annual payroll reporting with HMRC, including the apprenticeship levy;
- Prepare the UK group's P11ds, and assist with preparation of the annual PAYE Settlement Agreement submission;
- Responsibility for monthly management accounts for six holding companies
- Assist the Group Finance Manager with the Group consolidation of the monthly management accounts;
- Assist in S&J Group's cash management;
- Preparation and submission of monthly reports for banking facilities;
- Assistance with company secretarial duties, including statutory compliance with regulatory requirements, and statutory filings for UK companies (16 active UK companies, plus over 50 dormant companies);
- Assistance maintaining the UK companies' trademarks and patents register, including liaising with patent lawyers;
- Provide ad hoc work and support to assist the Group Finance Manager and Group Chief Financial Officer.
THE PERSON:
- You will be qualified or studying towards a professional qualification
- Experience of working in a fast-paced and often demanding finance environment is essential
- You will be able to demonstrable experience of preparing statutory accounts and corporation tax computations
- Excellent Computer skills with experience using the full Microsoft Office suite, with SAP knowledge advantageous
- Must be proficient in the use of Excel and have the ability to build simple financial models
- Ability to work to tight deadlines with competent project / time management and organisational skills is essential
- Excellent communication / interpersonal skills to interact successfully at all levels internally and externally is required
- Driving license required for UK travel as required
