Commercial Accountant

This new role is critical to supporting the growth of this family owned company and my client is seeking to recruit a part qualified or qualified accountant to provide insightful business information to support decision making and drive performance. You will report to a dynamic FD of this rapidly expanding FMCG manufacturing business (currently enjoying double digit growth) and will have a lot of exposure to the senior management team

Applicants must be pro-active self-starters who can investigate, challenge and take responsibility for delivering useful information. Main responsibilities will include management information reporting, analysing sales and trends to identify areas for focus, channel and customer profitability reporting, product cost and margin analysis. You will also have a key input to month end accounting, forecasting and budgeting, previous exposure to accounting for stock would also be very useful.

There will be a major business partnering element to this role, supporting site general management, operations and the commercial teams based at head office. A high level of Excel and the ability to develop systems would also be beneficial, since this is a new role you will be expected to design and implement your own suite of reports and KPI’s by working closely with department managers to capture information.
