This organisation is a British manufacturing company, providing standard products and bespoke designs to the industry they supply. They are an owner managed business with an extremely entrepreneurial owner and are continuously looking for new ways to develop and grow their business. This Financial Controller job is a permanent position, but the organisation would like to recruit on a temporary to permanent basis ideally. This position is exclusive to Hays.

Your new role
This Financial Controller job will report directly to the Finance Director and be responsible for a team of 8 reporting all finances to the Directors and Owners including budgets and forecast, costs and variance / inventory analysis and performance management. On a monthly basis, you'll be expected to produce management information for the bank and 3rd parties, close down the ledgers approving invoices and credit notes, perform analysis and bespoke reporting, and complete the month end close down procedure working on SAGE 200. You'll also support the team daily providing guidance and training where required.

What you'll need to succeed
Qualified, or qualified by experience, you must be able to accurately forecast and plan cash flows for at least 12 months for a complex group of businesses. Staff management and your management style, must be one that is supportive and encouraging, as the team are extremely valued and work well together, therefore fitting into this team is extremely important. You must be a logical thinker in relation to analysing data, using excel to effectively to interrogate, analyse and summarise large amounts of data to extract and present the relevant information in a user friendly way.
