PSD Group have been instructed by a global asset manager with multi asset specialisms, to assist in recruiting for a Property Accountant who will be based in Luxembourg. This role and will cover all aspects of real estate accounting and reporting predominantly for the French and Belgian assets held within their property funds. Reporting to the Senior Manager in the Real Estate Operations team, your responsibilities will involve:

  • Review of service charge reconciliations, as well as reconciliation of tenancy schedules,
  • Review of accruals and payment processes, as well as assisting with property acquisition and disposal processes.
  • Provide transactional support to portfolio managers and liaise with third party service providers in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, The Netherlands & Germany who assist with financial/tax reporting.
  • Opportunity to contribute to the design of new financial reporting systems and processes and also contribute towards enhancements being made to the existing operating model.
  • Provide efficient accounting and administration services in relation to real estate assets
  • Ensure compliance with procedures and controls and internal risk policies
  • Manage internal and external loan balances and support relationships with finance providers
  • Working on reporting responsibilities for an OPPCI structure
  • Work on Consolidation reporting of accounting data from subsidiary entities
  • Actively engage or manage the audit process and the preparation of the interim and year-end financial statements at both a local and consolidated level

Candidate profile:

  • Fluent German and English are essential with a working knowledge of French
  • Ideally have experience of accounting and administration within a real estate environment in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, The Netherlands and/or Germany
  • Strong reconciliation and investigation skills are essential
  • Experience with service charge accounting, property insurance and related reporting activities
  • Good communication skills - must be able to articulate ideas coherently
  • Good interpersonal skills as the position requires daily contact with Portfolio Managers, Research Professionals, Financial and other Administrative staff
  • Strong business analysis and Excel skills
  • Exposure to OPCI / OPPCI structures
  • Experience of coordinating a year-end audit process
  • Experience of accounting systems such as Yardi, Horizon / Qube, and/or InvestOne (SunGard)
